Apply by filling out the form application. Applying does not guarantee a spot in the car show. The deadline to submit an application is Saturday, August 17, 2024.
All submissions will receive an email response informing them of the status of their application.
This year we have roughly 30,000 square feet of convention space for vehicles. We are anticipating the area can fit, at most, 75 cars.
All car show participants are expected to arrive on Thursday of the convention year for roll-in and MUST stay until Sunday of the convention year for roll-out. (Details of specific timeframes will be determined later). Cars CANNOT be started / moved after being parked. You can access your car as needed during convention hours.
No. The cars will not have dedicated personnel watching over them. However, there will be signage for attendees to not touch the cars.
The details of all the rules regarding roll-in, display, roll-out, and everything else in-between will be sent out to the applicants who have their cars accepted.
Yes. All car show participants will receive two (2) 3-day passes. There is no monetary compensation.

About ITasha Wonderland

ItaPara itasha car club started hosting Itasha Wonderland in 2019. This event is America's first itasha-focused car show aiming to bring together itasha owners from across the country. For our third year, ItaPara will be hosting Itasha Wonderland in the annual San Japan convention at the Henry B. Gonzalez convention center in San Antonio, TX.

About San Japan

San Japan is the Largest Anime & Gaming Convention in the South Texas Region. We take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and San Antonio Grand Hyatt in downtown San Antonio on Labor Day Weekend. San Japan is a fan-run organization providing an annual anime-focused convention.

Being located in downtown San Antonio, there are plenty of tourist locations, places to see, things to do, as well as great places to eat. If you’re coming from out of the city or state, there are a variety of hotels within walking distance of the convention center. We encourage everyone to enjoy what San Japan and the city of San Antonio has to offer!
